Army Commander attends Association of the US Army annual meeting
Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake, met top ranking world military officials including Chief of Staff of the US Army, General Raymond T. Odierno during a three-day long visit to attend the 60th annual meeting of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA ) in Washington, USA.
The Army Commander shared views with the participating officials at the AUSA annual meeting held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Centre in Washington D.C on 21st October.
The event is attended by top-level military officers of 53 countries. Sessions include presentations by US army and defence department officials, military and commercial exhibits, panel discussions on pertinent military and national security subjects and AUSA business meetings.
Lieutenant General Ratnayake, also exchanged views with General Sir Peter Wall, Chief of UK Army, General Vincent K Brooks, US Army Pacific Commanding General, Mr John M. McHugh, US Secretary of the Army, Major General Anthony Cucolo, Commandant of the US Army War College and other Army Chiefs, during the course of the event.
